PostSubject: Wrecked 1999 Dodge Ram 1500   Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:57 pm

My dad and I were coming home from mowing on monday 7-5-10, when it was just starting to rain and I was driving the truck, pulling the trailer. I was close to TMC on Colbern road. I started to brake when I saw the light switch from green to yellow. The truck started to slide with the trailers weight pushing and I was going about 35 mph, I slid into the intersection and t-boned another truck. I hit him between the gas tank and the cab. The drive shaft of his truck broke in half and was laying on the ground. Everyone was ok, but my dads truck only has liability on it so only the guy I hit was covered. We are slowly trying to rebuild the front end of the truck, but are having a tough time finding some good used parts cheap. I was wondering if anyone has or knows anyone with a parts truck or a cheap salvage yard around. I called County Line Auto Parts of of 50 HWY and they wanted $300 for only a used front fender. Thanks for any info Exclamation You can also call me at 816-674-4583 - Tyler.

I need the front left fender, new plastic grill or aftermarket, radiator, and hood

It has the V8 360 in it.

Tyler,
Glad to hear that nobody was seriously injured during the incident and hope you get your truck up and going again real soon.

wow Tyler, glad you are OK buddy. I will look around here locally to see if I can find anything.

I would definitely suggest checking Kansas City Craigslist and if there is nothing posted there that helps just post an ad that you are looking for those parts and that should get you going.

Birmingham used to have some older car parts also. I used to go up and get parts for my '64 Chevy Impala.
