Okay so I'm posting this for my boyfriend. We had our quad stolen 9-29-09 from our yard. it was sitting right next to our kitchen window. where we have parked it for at least 1 year and 1/2. Its a black with yellow springs and scrambler is in yellow. It has mud tires and and snorkels on the left side. We have talked to all of our neighbors as we live around 4 or 5 other house that are quite close to us. There is no tracks in the yard or in the gravel in the alley. They would of had to push it away from the house and then started it up. The rear axle could possible break as the axle nut is broke off and it wobbles around quite bad. We have not drove it for several months for that reason. We have filed a police report. We are the th person in Holt county that has had theirs stolen. We are believing it was either stolen late Monday (9/28) or early Tuesday (9/29) morning. I work 3rd shift and left our house at 10:15pm and don't get home until 9:00am and he leaves for work at 6:15am so he goes to bed after i leave. He cant recall if he remembers seeing Tuesday morning when he was getting ready to leave. and i cant remember if it was there when i came home from work. So PLEASE keep a look out for it around or on craigslist. I will get a picture soon of the actual but ill put one which is similar. Please if you do see it or have any information on it Please send me a message!

Sorry to hear that, we will definately keep an open eye, i spend a lot of time on CL, and hear of people selling quads a lot so if i hear anything you will be the first to know and also welcome to the forum...

Thank you that means a lot to us, We dont even know where to began looking, we are going to go drive on the bottoms and on the gravel roads to see if we see anything tonight hopefully we do get something!

It always seems to be some young kid close to the house, its like they think they can take it and then go ride it, but anyways hope you get it back and let us know if we need to get a linchin possie together..

Geoff and I have been notified about this from the owner...they actually live in our hometown!

We will definitely keep an eye out Jess and Josh, hopefully its some little jerk that lives nearby that just took it for a joyride and ditched it somewhere obvious so you can get it back. Its amazing how stupid people are to steal a quad right by your house, hopefully we find out who it is so they can get some " country justice " lol

a guy in amazonia named david alan welter was caught by a home owner trying to take a 4wheeler. i informed andrew county but they need some one who knows the guy or some one to see him on mine to go search his place. the guy is a doper, buys and sells evidently. he's also a scraper, as in junk stuff. people also say he has guns and isnt scared to use them. he has 7 pages of stuff on casenet .net. hes about 42 yrs old. my uncle is a bailbonds man and has him on a bond. he said he would use that as leverage to try to get him to talk. so any one in amazonia that can keep an eye out, it would be greatly appreciated. he lives on k hwy. directions to his house are, if your headed to st joe, after you go past the junk yard go up the hill and its the first gravel rd to the left and back.

I know where you are talking about, don't know him directly but i drive by there every day on my way to work, i will watch out for it and call the sheriff is i see something. Have you heard he has it or is just that he is supposed to be into that kind of thing? Thats really to close for comfort for me, i need to double check my insurance and locks on the shop..
