So last Friday my buddy and I decided to go out to Lucas' and ride for a bit. I took the yamaha out cus it hadnt been out in a while. It had a bit of an attitude sputtered when you took off or it would stall...Got home and told my buddy time to take the ol reliable Suzuki out for a spin....Its never failed me in 4 years. Rode around in the field for like 20 minutes, started it up last night again and it does nothing but blow blue smoke It runs but is lacking power and it smokes more then a darn 2 stroke! any thoughts?

How long was it sitting before you rode it? Without seeing it I would have to guess rings are bad. LAcking in compression and letting oil by to cause the smoke. If you catch it early you may be able to just throw new rings on it and go or maybe even a new piston since you would already be in it that far.

any idea what it would cost to rebuild? maybe make it a little more stout?
