It could be your air/fuel or maybe your main jet. Pilot jet really does not have all that much to do with anything except idle really. Did it sputter and stuff before you replaced it?

The carb might need a good cleaning or I would check your spark plug condition and gap, it could be anything from a dirty carb to your cdi, just have to check each thing ONE at a time, never do two things together because then you may screw it up worse or you will not know what fixed it

That sounds to me like the needle needs to be adjusted. The needle controls your mid-range throttle. If the needel isnt adjustable you can get a small shim to put under the clip.

Have you added any aftermarket parts? If you have you will neede to raise the needle (lower the clip). That will dump more fuel sooner into the carb when you hit the throttle. My guess is that is what you should try anyways.

Yeah the needle might fix it, the problem with carbs is one thing will fix it and two things will screw it up so make sure you only do one thing and try that for a while and then try something else if that doesnt work.
